The author is an anthropologist and researcher at the Laboratory for Integrated Archaeological Visualization and Heritage (LIAVH), Pratt Institute, New York. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at East China Normal University under the Shanghai Government Super-Postdoctoral Fellowship. She has completed her PhD from Sun Yat-sen University with a Graduate Honour.
